London Baby!

Hi everyone!

Happy new year to you all! I am so ready to get 2019 on a roll and I started the year by visiting my favourite city of all time! London.

Woke up January 1st and got on a plane. I can’t think of a better way to start the new year. In fact more travels are on my resolution list this year and hopefully it will stick 🙂

London is only an hour plain ride away from Denmark so it easy to visit for a few days.

This time around I went for 4 days and tried to visit all my favourite places and do some shopping. I traveled with hubs and my brother and therefore we also planned to visit all the tourist attractions which there are many of as you know.

I still have London Eye on my bucket list but I think I will wait till the renovations of Big Ben are done to get the full experience.

What I love about London is the endless possibilities and the endless exploring oppertunities!

There are always always more gems to be found and new shops and areas to explore.

This is exactly what I love most about city vacays! Not that I am not a fan of sunbathing holidays cause I definately am! But there is something special about the city atmosphere and the business of them that I love – especially when I do not have to stress about anything.

So much has happened in the city since my last visit and now I can see it really coming together with all the new builds and sights.

I love how good they are at mixing the classic older buildings in with the new and do not even get me started on all the decorations still up from Christmas! It always always blows my mind! So beautiful and creative and even the smallest shops make an effort to decorate in the best way with either lights or flowers. Denmark has a lot to learn from this. And we are in fact known as the country of ‘Hygge’.

Anyways! we had the best time sightseeing, eating lots and lots of yummy food and even a bit of shopping!

Do you have any resolutions for the new year?

Summer in the city?

Ever since I came home from London I have been even more wonderlust than before I went!

The few days I was there was amazing but oh so little time! I feel like I could have stayed there forever and never be bored or uninspired ever again!

Traveling always inspires me to think differetly in order to travel more and very importantly to new places even though London is my second home I need to explore!

If the weather changes here in Denmark I might stay home but the chance of that happening is about zero – not happening.

and also another house project is not really what I had in mind this summer! All you house owners out there know what I am talking about!

So for the sake of not spending yet another summer in Denmark and doing another house projekt I need to find a great destination to explore! This is why I need your help!

Where are you going this summer and why? Do you have any recommandations? preferably in Europe.

I am thinking about sun, sea and sand kind of vacation, but still with some cultural attractions or beautiful nature.

please comment below on where you think I should go 🙂

London I love you!

Those of you who have been following me for a while know about my eternal love for London.

I used to visit twice a year but this time I had to wait a little longer than usual. I guess life got in the way.

But now I am back and even though it is only for a few days I will make the most of it!

Not only is this a getaway for me and my husband, but also planning a little get together with a couple of other Instagram bloggers who I have been talking to and admiring since the beginning of this entire Instagram journey.

You might know the faboulous and sweet Ashley from @miss_gunner who I talk to on a daily basis and who I like to call my friend.

We have chattet a lot during the years and some of you may remember that we first met in Amsterdam a few years ago.

This time when we met I was so lucky to meet Camilla from @ave.camilla as well! Her bubbly personality is so contagious that you cannot be anything but happy when you are around her.  And do not even get me started on her natural beauty! How can anyone be so gorgeous is beyond…

We had brunch at the cutest cafe on Portobello road with our husbands! It was so fun to meet the girls and also the other talented men behind the camera. I bet they had a lot to talk about as well.

The trip was not all about blogging, but also about exploring what I like to call my second home.

We always visit the British Museum. The building in itself is so beautiful with the glass ceilings and marble floors.

Also Covent Garden is a must everytime! I love the atmosphere and of course the cute cafes and shops.

Ofcourse I am dreaming of living in Notting Hill with the crisp white houses or the gorgeous pink house next to Portobello road!

This city holds so many great memories for me and I feel so inspired everytime I visit.

It was the first big city I ever visited both with and without my parents. We have family close to the city so when I was younger we used to visit a lot.

Also it is the place where my husband proposed! Yup right in the middle of Kensington gardens on a sunny January day he popped the big question!

And the rest is history!

Do you have a favourite city in the world other than your home?

Sunny Copenhagen?

When ever I get the chance I love to visit our sunny captital! I love everything about this city! The streets filled with beautiful architecture, the shops and the cutest cafes on every corner.

I love how different it is from where I live now – so busy and upbeat!

There is always an event, a big designer sale or a cute new boutique to visit!

This time I went mostly for the blog to connect and view all the new spring / summer collections comming, but of corse I made time to explore the city with hubs.

When I visit Copenhagen i always have to stop by Illum – or marble heaven as i like to call it! You can see why in the pictures. Also I have a weakness for the roof top terrase.

Not only for the view, but also for the food and the best macarons in the country!

If i ever had the oppertunity i would move there in a heartbeat! Well at least thats what i tell myself i would, but then the fear strikes of everything you would be leaving behind and all the responsibilities you have where you are?

Have you ever just packed up your life and moved somewhere new and exiting?
