DIY Denim

Hi Guys,

I bet all of you have a pair of jeans in your closet, that you never use, but just cannot get rid of for some reason.

I have a lot of jeans that are simply too long, because of my very short legs no I am not an elf! I cannot find a pair of jeans that matches my hight, so I always have to shorten the lenght.

But as those of you with the same issues as me know, that most of the time I simply dont get it done! Laziness for sure! Instead I wear the same jeans untill they fall apart.

Back to the point: the pile of jeans in my closet i do not wear!

I got inspired by all you creative ladies out there I used to be one as well to redesign some of my old denims.

This is the first project: the assymmetric hem drumrole please!

You start out with a pair of old jeans and a pair of scissors.

Try on your jeans to get a feel of where the cut should be. If needed mark the spot with a piece of chalk.

Take your scissors and cut of the hem (or more if you are short like me) to make the new hem reach your ancles.

Make sure you do not cut of to much fabric! Once you have made the cut you can never go back.

Next you find out where you want the cutout to be. fx. on the side or like I did on the front.

Fold your jeans and cut out a square that fits with the look you want.

When you have made sure the cutout is exactly like you want it -put your jeans in the washer and dryer to get the perfect freyed look.

Voila the result of my DIY denim:

Processed with VSCO with s2 preset

Hope you like them. I am already on my next project!

Please comment if you have any tips on a different denim DIY! I would love to do more.

The Beautiful Ones

Love is something we all need to exist in this (sometimes cruel and dark) world we live in.

Especially when you feel like nothing is going your way , when you lose something or someone, you never thought you would have to live without, when you are so heartbroken you think the day will never come where you actually feel happiness again

In these times loved ones are needed, to make sure, you get back on your feet and continue to be your fabulous self.

The beautiful ones that we often take for granted and never make enough time for.

I am blessed to have a very suppotive husband and a large family who are always there for me, when I need them. I will start to appreciate that more!

From today onwards I will make sure to spend as much time with these people (because you never know when the last time will be… ) and stop waisting precious time on things and people that do not add anything possitive to my life.

Today is the end of all things negative and the beginning of everything possitive.

RIP skattebasse (my little stalker)

Love you always

Barbara’s Choice

Today I want to introduce to you a Danish label called Barbara’s choice.

My Mother in law actually introduced me to this brand, when giving me this beautiful blushpink coat. Some of you may remember this coat from my Instagram posts?

Well anyway this Danish company is know for their practical, well designed and oh so comfy coats. After wearing the pink coat a number of times through Spring I was certain that this was a match made in heaven.

With the changing weather we have in Denmark I always need to bring a light jacket everywhere as I never know what the climate will bring me through the day.

This short grey bomber jacket is perfect for any outfit. It is easy to dress up for a night out or a more casual look.

Today I have styled it with my favourite ripped jeans and heels for a casual chic look.

How do you style you bomber jacket? Please comment below.

Thank you for reading.

Daily Inspo

If you dont know this by now I looooove fashion and everything about it. The only thing is i dont really know why?

People often ask me why I dont work in the industry, when I love it so much. To be honest I do not have an answer.

I did not grow up in a fashionable home like some of my fellow bloggerfriends did, where their mother had a passion for fashion and me and my friends could go ‘shopping’ for Chanel and other famous labels in her closet.

The closest person, I can remember who inspired me, fashionwise when I was little, was my grandmother. She always looked so well put together in her trenchcoats, heels and skirts.

Later I spend a lot of money (read all my money) on fashion magazines. Like Carrie Bradshaw would say it I felt that it fed me more than food.

Today inspiration is everywhere –  just a tap away. Everyone have access to social media, blogging away about what they love the most.

I love social media and how it can connect you with people, all over the world, you otherwise would never have met.

On the other hand do actually enjoy the moment were in while we type away on our cellphones, computers and tablets. Are we to fixated on getting a perfect shot for Instagram that we simply forget to live in the moment?

Has it all become to much?

Where do you find inspiration? Please comment below.

LBD

The little Black dress (LBD) is a wardrope stable. Every girl simply needs one in her closet.

When ever I am in a ootd crisis, which happens a lot more often than you might think, I am often rescued by one of my little black numbers.

It can easily be transformed from day to night with a change of accessories.

Like this lace dress I wore to my nieces 9th birthday this weekend. Through the day It was styled with ballerinas for a more casual look and later the ballerinas were exchanged for a pair of heels to transform the look for an evening out.

Do you have a favourite LBD?

May Struggles

Through the colder months all I pray for is warmer weather, sun and blooming flowers. Now May has come and everything I wished for has arrived.. well almost anyway.

May has left me clueless about what to wear, when I leave the house in the morning.

One day it is sunny and warm and I decide to wear a flowy summerdress and suede sandals, only to find myself regretting it in the afternoon, when it starts raining cats and dogs! We all know the struggles of rain vs. suede!

Then the next day learning from previous mistake I decided to wear my usual workwear thinking I have everything under control- it becomes the hotest day of the month!

My solution is: Wear a light top underneath your blazer and then you are good to go. I also added a pop of pink to add a little spring to my usual workwear.

What do you think makes a good workoutfit? One that can be transformed into a lighter/warmer look when needed?

That Spring Feeling

FullSizeRender

We all know that feeling when the weather changes. When the sun is out and you dont need a big coat or gloves to keep you warm. When you feel more at ease and have more energy than normally.

This is also the season to wear light dresses with ancle boots or long pants with sandals. The oppertunites are endless do to the mild weather just like fall.

Spring and Fall are my favourite seasons because of this! You can mix everything from your closet in a variety of ways.

Here is a combo I will try out these days before it gets to hot.

The off the shoulder trend is so chic. I have been dying to try this look for a while but the weather has been so cold.

I am on the look for the perfect one and I found this! (tap the pic to shop) It is perfect for spring and later for summer with denim Shorts and sandals.

What do you think of this trend? Have you found the perfect of the shoulder top or dress?

Please comment below.

Thank you for reading and happy Friday.

How to wear a lace top part 2

The other day I posted a look wearing my new favourite lace top from She in.

I promised you a second look since I have already worn this piece a few times.

This time I styled it with an all leather outfit. Since spring has arrived I realised that i only have a few chances to wear leather before it gets to hot. So double leather was the only option for me. The delicate lace makes the look less biker chick more streetstyle.

I added white kicks to make it look more casual for a day with the family.

So which look do you prefer? The one with denim and heels or this leather monochrome look?

Thank you for readning.
