Prague getaway

It feels like October and November has just flown by! Dont know what happened?! have been sooo busy that I have neglected the blog!

Now it is time to get back in the game before this crazy year ends!

A few weeks ago I had the chance to fly to Prague for work and it was exactly what I needed!

Just to get away from everything even though it was for work to clear my head and get a fresh start.

Prague is such a beautiful city with cobblestones everywhere and every building is Instaworthy!

The view from my hotel says it all! Best sunsets!

The hotel was nothing special but to my surprice my room had the most amazing all marble bathroom! Instagoals!

Unfortunately I was only here for a few days and with work there was limited time for exploring but I managed to do a little damage aka shopping and making my sweet colleague take my ootd’s! I mean what are colleagues for if not helping eachother out?!

Fishnet addiction

Fishnets have seriously made a comback this season.

And who am I to turn it down?!

I love the extra edge it gives to an otherwise casual outfit and how easy it is to style!

Are you joining this new fall trend?

Irresistible Me

Hi Guys,

Fall has arrived here and with the falling leaves I decided to let my long locks fall as well.

To be honest I really did not have much choice in the matter.

My hardresser must not have been a big fan of my hair, since she decided to make such a huge mess of it, that led it to be so ruined, that there was only one option. CUT IT!

Luckily it ended up being longer than what I had imagined such a relief .

Now the shorter do has grown on me and I have found the pros of having shorter hair.

  • 20 minutes less blowdry time
  • when i curl or straighten it it does not take half a day
  • I dont wake up doring the night being choked in my hair
  • much less shampoo = more money for shoes!!

These simple 3 facts make me love it!

The cons however is:

  • not having that long sleek ponytail or braid
  • not that many options when it comes to hairstyles
  • having to style it everyday instead of the easy bun/ponytail

Irresitible Me gave med the best of both world with their easy clip-in extensions that matches my own haircolor perfectly!

They are so easy to clip in and out and are so strong that you dont have to fear them falling out during the day. can you imagine?! All the feers and doubts that you get from other girls having extentions is nonexisting.

I wear them a lot more than I had imagined I would. I have always had long hair so I never needed extensions before, but now they are such a lifesaver. Who knew that having long hair could be that important?!

Now I can have my long ponytail back whenever I want and still have the shorter do during the workweek.

The best of both worlds – what can be better than that?

End of Summer

I cannot believe that summer is almost over! Time flies by so fast!

After 3 weeks of nonstop eating, sleeping in, exploring and doing housework cause thats what being a houseowner does to you– it feels strange to get back into the old routines. and at the same time it feels so natural, that after a couple of hours, at the office, it does not even feel like I have been away.

If you follow me on Instagram you might have noticed that my Instastories are filled with naturevideos and pics. Denmark is so beautiful during summer that i had to share it with you!

It is such a small country and yet there are always new things to explore.

Like this old bridge where these pictures where taken. It had been in hiding for 85 years! Now it has been restored and made into a turist attraction.

For a day of exploring I decided to wear a layered outfit due to the changing weather. I still wanted a summerish look but had to add a trench to keep warm.

I like my classics and immediately went for my denimshorts that I have practicly been living in all summer due to their comfy style. Then added a lace top and my fav shoes of the month.

I  have visited a lot of the beautiful attractions Denmark has to offer this summer and I am not nearly done! I have many more on my ‘need to explore’ list.

Do you also like to explore your own country and its attractions?

I am already dreaming about my next roadtrip adventure.

Thank you so much for reading.

Le chic

After a summer where all I have done is work and no play, it is almost my turn to enjoy the last month of summer.

3 weeks of relaxing is almost here!

3 weeks of relaxing, sleeping in and eating brunch

not to mention all the family gatherings comming up in August

I cannot wait to spend all day in the sun pretty please Denmark  and wear my new sparklies. Such a sucker for anything sparkly.

I swear if I had enough sequins in my closet I would wear it everyday.

Hubs says I am obsessed! He might be right but lets not tell him ok?

Having a tendency to go for the classic pieces oops I did it again  has always been my thing.

These whitegold pieces are no different.

Classic pieces with some sparkles to make a rainy day a little brighter

Oldtown

If you Google Odense -Wikipedia will tell you that this was the city Hans Christian Andersen was born, about the old houses, churches and museeums.

It is also the town where I grew up.

Although I lived a few miles outside the citycentre this was still the place we went to shop, eat, go to the movies and so on.

I could go on and on about what this city i  known for, but I would rather show you some of the hidden treasures, the old part of the city, one of the cutest boutiques and my new favourite spot to have coffee and treats.

Pinoc - Vestergade 82

Pinoc has existed for a few years and is such a cute shop. They carry most of the Danish designers like Day Birger et Mikkelsen and By Malene Birger, but you can also find jewelry, phonecases, bags and if you love interior design this place has the best items.

After a little shopping I like to stop at a café to have lunch or just a little treat in the afternoon.Actually I read recently that the people that live in Odense love to eat out so there are a lot of new restaurants and cafés popping up. whenever a retailstore closes. I guess we like to eat more than to shop?! how did that happen?!

One of the places that I love to visit is Brød – they have the custes little café with coffee and all the Danish treats you can think of.

After a little treat I like to walk through the old cobbled streets away from all the highstreet shops and crowds. This area of the city has a lot of old buildings, shops and galleries.

Like the old shop called Kramboden where I used to go with my grandmother and siblings every vacation to buy candy and look at the old fashioned toys. You can buy everything from old tin, kitchen equipment to toys and candy here.

The houses are the cutest leaning buildings and are very hard to get a hold of. They are often past on from one generation to another.

If you are ever in Denmark this is a special area to visit and also if you want to see where Hans Christian Andersen grew up this is just in the neighbourhood.

One might think that I saved these photos from the early Spring or Fall, but no. These pictures were taken in the midle of July where I should have been wearing shorts and light dresses!

I took this look from day to night by changing my shoes. During the day i wore heels at the office, but decided to wear these kicks instead for, a casual dinner with the family.

I know normally it would have been the other way around but hey thats just me. Such a rebel lol.

Casual Officewear

image

A new week has arrived and I thought I would share some of my work outfits with you.

When you think about working in an office most people think that it is all about suits and ties, but in Denmark we are bit more casual.

At my office there is no dresscode. Therefore there are a lot of options of what to wear. In the morning this can either be very good og very very timeconsuming.

Sometimes I wish that we should all wear suits because of the time i would save getting dressed in the morning And other times I feel blessed that I get to wear jeans whenever I feel like it.

I have mixed feelings about this issue as you might have figured out.

The cullottes trend has been around for a while now. Even though there still seem to be mixed oppinions about this trend I must admit that they are very comfy.

I found these Karen Millen Denim cullottes on sale during spring (shop similar hereand paired them with a classic white shirt.

To make the look a bit more fun than just denim and white I added my new loafers (shop here) ,my go to work bag from Prada and gold Klarf watch (shop here).

What do you wear to work? please comment below.

Cloud free skies

image

This year instead of traveling to palmtrees and white sandy beaches I choose to stay home and explore the beautiful sightings in Denmark. Hopefully this fall weather we are experiencing will turn into sun and cloud free skies by the time my vacation starts.

With everything that is happening in the world right now it would be wrong to complain about the weather we are having, the oppertunities we did not take or the life we are living.

It is time that we start living everyday to the fullest. Appreciate what we have and the people in our lives.

We ourselves are resposible for the life we choose to live. If you are not happy about something in your life change it. You are the only one who can do it.

Do what makes you happy. All day everyday.

DIY Denim

Hi Guys,

I bet all of you have a pair of jeans in your closet, that you never use, but just cannot get rid of for some reason.

I have a lot of jeans that are simply too long, because of my very short legs no I am not an elf! I cannot find a pair of jeans that matches my hight, so I always have to shorten the lenght.

But as those of you with the same issues as me know, that most of the time I simply dont get it done! Laziness for sure! Instead I wear the same jeans untill they fall apart.

Back to the point: the pile of jeans in my closet i do not wear!

I got inspired by all you creative ladies out there I used to be one as well to redesign some of my old denims.

This is the first project: the assymmetric hem drumrole please!

You start out with a pair of old jeans and a pair of scissors.

Try on your jeans to get a feel of where the cut should be. If needed mark the spot with a piece of chalk.

Take your scissors and cut of the hem (or more if you are short like me) to make the new hem reach your ancles.

Make sure you do not cut of to much fabric! Once you have made the cut you can never go back.

Next you find out where you want the cutout to be. fx. on the side or like I did on the front.

Fold your jeans and cut out a square that fits with the look you want.

When you have made sure the cutout is exactly like you want it -put your jeans in the washer and dryer to get the perfect freyed look.

Voila the result of my DIY denim:

Processed with VSCO with s2 preset

Hope you like them. I am already on my next project!

Please comment if you have any tips on a different denim DIY! I would love to do more.

Thank you for reading.
