End of Summer

I cannot believe that summer is almost over! Time flies by so fast!

After 3 weeks of nonstop eating, sleeping in, exploring and doing housework cause thats what being a houseowner does to you– it feels strange to get back into the old routines. and at the same time it feels so natural, that after a couple of hours, at the office, it does not even feel like I have been away.

If you follow me on Instagram you might have noticed that my Instastories are filled with naturevideos and pics. Denmark is so beautiful during summer that i had to share it with you!

It is such a small country and yet there are always new things to explore.

Like this old bridge where these pictures where taken. It had been in hiding for 85 years! Now it has been restored and made into a turist attraction.

For a day of exploring I decided to wear a layered outfit due to the changing weather. I still wanted a summerish look but had to add a trench to keep warm.

I like my classics and immediately went for my denimshorts that I have practicly been living in all summer due to their comfy style. Then added a lace top and my fav shoes of the month.

I  have visited a lot of the beautiful attractions Denmark has to offer this summer and I am not nearly done! I have many more on my ‘need to explore’ list.

Do you also like to explore your own country and its attractions?

I am already dreaming about my next roadtrip adventure.

Thank you so much for reading.

Oldtown

If you Google Odense -Wikipedia will tell you that this was the city Hans Christian Andersen was born, about the old houses, churches and museeums.

It is also the town where I grew up.

Although I lived a few miles outside the citycentre this was still the place we went to shop, eat, go to the movies and so on.

I could go on and on about what this city i  known for, but I would rather show you some of the hidden treasures, the old part of the city, one of the cutest boutiques and my new favourite spot to have coffee and treats.

Pinoc - Vestergade 82

Pinoc has existed for a few years and is such a cute shop. They carry most of the Danish designers like Day Birger et Mikkelsen and By Malene Birger, but you can also find jewelry, phonecases, bags and if you love interior design this place has the best items.

After a little shopping I like to stop at a café to have lunch or just a little treat in the afternoon.Actually I read recently that the people that live in Odense love to eat out so there are a lot of new restaurants and cafés popping up. whenever a retailstore closes. I guess we like to eat more than to shop?! how did that happen?!

One of the places that I love to visit is Brød – they have the custes little café with coffee and all the Danish treats you can think of.

After a little treat I like to walk through the old cobbled streets away from all the highstreet shops and crowds. This area of the city has a lot of old buildings, shops and galleries.

Like the old shop called Kramboden where I used to go with my grandmother and siblings every vacation to buy candy and look at the old fashioned toys. You can buy everything from old tin, kitchen equipment to toys and candy here.

The houses are the cutest leaning buildings and are very hard to get a hold of. They are often past on from one generation to another.

If you are ever in Denmark this is a special area to visit and also if you want to see where Hans Christian Andersen grew up this is just in the neighbourhood.

Cloud free skies

image

This year instead of traveling to palmtrees and white sandy beaches I choose to stay home and explore the beautiful sightings in Denmark. Hopefully this fall weather we are experiencing will turn into sun and cloud free skies by the time my vacation starts.

With everything that is happening in the world right now it would be wrong to complain about the weather we are having, the oppertunities we did not take or the life we are living.

It is time that we start living everyday to the fullest. Appreciate what we have and the people in our lives.

We ourselves are resposible for the life we choose to live. If you are not happy about something in your life change it. You are the only one who can do it.

Do what makes you happy. All day everyday.

Daily Inspo

If you dont know this by now I looooove fashion and everything about it. The only thing is i dont really know why?

People often ask me why I dont work in the industry, when I love it so much. To be honest I do not have an answer.

I did not grow up in a fashionable home like some of my fellow bloggerfriends did, where their mother had a passion for fashion and me and my friends could go ‘shopping’ for Chanel and other famous labels in her closet.

The closest person, I can remember who inspired me, fashionwise when I was little, was my grandmother. She always looked so well put together in her trenchcoats, heels and skirts.

Later I spend a lot of money (read all my money) on fashion magazines. Like Carrie Bradshaw would say it I felt that it fed me more than food.

Today inspiration is everywhere –  just a tap away. Everyone have access to social media, blogging away about what they love the most.

I love social media and how it can connect you with people, all over the world, you otherwise would never have met.

On the other hand do actually enjoy the moment were in while we type away on our cellphones, computers and tablets. Are we to fixated on getting a perfect shot for Instagram that we simply forget to live in the moment?

Has it all become to much?

Where do you find inspiration? Please comment below.

Amsterdam

As I am standing outside Hotel the Sofitel legend the Grand in Amsterdam I can feel the butterflies in my stomach. I have been looking forward to this day for months and now the day has finally come!

Through the windows in the gold revolving door I see her! She is even more beautiful in ‘real life’ as I had already predicted. She sends me the biggest smile and hugs me so tight, as I come through the door.

Ashley is her name, but you probably know her better as @missgunner – the sweet fashionloving aussie on instagram.

A moment later possitive energy is filing the lobby as Kelly @thehouseofkelly walks through the doors. She immediately catches everyones attention with her loving outgoing personality. She has brought her sister Daisy –_@daisy_stylerepertoire  , who we all know is behind the fashion online shop Stylerepertoire.com – and let me tell you: she is the sweetest girl ever! A little shy like myself so we clicked instantly.

The entire afternoon we spend eating lunch, lauching and shooting of course. It was so lovely to finally meet someone who had the same interests as you and who did not judge you for taking pictures of your food etc. – So worth the 8 hrs drive!

I hope to spend more moments like these in the near future.

Thank you for a lovely day ladies! xoxo

London Love

IMG_4697

If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I absolutely love London!

I would go so far and say it is my favourite city in the world.

I mean is there anything not to love about London? The beautiful architecture, the museums (you can visit most of them for free!), shopping, parks etc.

I have visited so many times that I cannot keep count. Spending holidays with my family, visiting my fathers family (just a bit outside of London), weekend get-aways with my hubby.

London is a magical place and there is always a new area to explore. It is also the place where my husband proposed! Right in the middle of Kensington Gardens! So you can understand why i am so passionate about this city.

I would move there in a heartbeat if the oppertunity ever occured.
